The Big Bang Theory star split from former pro tennis player Ryan Sweeting in September last year after just 21 months of marriage.
The divorce was finalised last week.
Speaking to CBS, the 30-year-old actress said: “I fall in love really hard, I do. I go deep. That person is it for me and I love hard, and when it’s over, it’s over, and some people make mistakes.”
Cuoco said she doesn’t consider her failed marriage “a mistake” and maintained that it won’t affect her ability to fall in love again.
“I can’t even pretend to say that, ‘cause it’s not me,” Cuoco said.
“It’s not my heart. I know that’s not me, and I know I will again ... I’ve actually never been happier.”
The main reason that horse loving Cuoco is so happy at the moment is mostly due to her new boyfriend, professional equestrian rider Karl Cook.
“I think meeting people that are involved (in the same things as you) — I think that the horse connection is special,” she said.
“There are just special people in my life now, and the show is doing great and I’ve got my horses.”
Cuoco is also no doubt pretty chuffed that she made her ex, Ryan Sweeting, sign a prenuptial agreement before they tied the knot in 2013.
Details from their divorce settlement published on TMZ reveal that Cuoco will get to keep her Big Bang Theory fortune as well as the couple’s two homes in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.
As for 28-year-old Sweeting, he gets a $A225,000 payout and whatever cash and gift certificates he has in his possession at the moment.
Cuoco also agreed to pay a $266,000 bill for Sweeting’s two personal trainers.
