Phewy! Louis Walsh won’t dish dirt on Simon Cowell as he puts tell-all book on hold to rejoin X Factor panel

FOR years people have wondered why SIMON COWELL keeps LOUIS WALSH around, assuming he knows too many secrets to risk letting loose.

And it looks like those whispers might be right as we’ve discovered the former manager of WESTLIFE and BOYZONE has scrapped plans to release his tell-all autobiography this year so he can rejoin the X Factor panel.
The cheeky Irishman has undoubtedly got more dirt on his old pal Simon than all the dancers at Spearmint Rhino put together so we reckon it’s a wise move.
Louis, mocked up above with Simon, GARY BARLOW and CHERYL, was axed in place of NICK GRIMSHAW last year and has only just got back in favour with the Syco chief — so best not to get on his bad side just yet.
We know he loves ruffling some feathers but for now he’s keeping a lid on revelations and sticking to his tried-and-tested practice of ribbing Simon about his song choices, love of curvy mature ladies and inability to remember contestants’ names.
Our source tells us: “Louis is keen to get back on The X Factor and knows his autobiography would only upset the apple cart so it is being put on hold for now.
“Initially he had planned big takedowns of people he has had spats with over the years including fellow judges he didn’t always see eye-to-eye with such as Cheryl and Gary.
“But instead he’s hopeful to come back for this year and, who knows, add maybe a few more to his list and amass more gossip for him to eventually put in the book.”
When the day comes for Louis to release his book — which we really, really hope is called It Looks Like An Autobiography, It Sounds Like An Autobiography, It is an Autobiography — we know it will be filled with juicy showbiz secrets.
Not only did he mastermind Boyzone and Westlife’s careers, he can also tell all about the early days of GIRLS ALOUD, who he says all hated him after he praised NADINE COYLE as their best singer and how he came to work with the showbiz legends that are JEDWARD.
Most recently he has blasted LOUIS TOMLINSON for getting “too big” for his boots and deserved a “b******ing”, Cheryl who he regularly has spats with for being “lazy and irrelevant”, and Simon for having “f***ed the show”.
He said: “Simon used to blame me. He’d say, ‘It’s your fault, people are fed up looking at you’. But it’s not my fault. He’s f***ed the show.”
Time to prove him wrong, Lou-Lou.
Oh, and do us a favour and bring SHARON OSBOURNE back with you. You remind us of a young LEON and JUNE from Gogglebox.
— SIMON COWELL and DAVID WALLIAMS’s rivalry is showing no signs of letting up.
Sources say after David turned up at the BGT launch dressed up as Simon, he quipped that the 6ft 2in comic was “too big” to play him convincingly.
They said: “It was friendly banter, but it led to an awkward moment as (David) assumed it was about his weight. No doubt he is plotting revenge.”
The comic’s latest prank may have been payback for Simon’s nasty dig about his failed marriage to LARA STONE in front of an audience in January.
We can’t wait to see what David has up his sleeve.
— LAURA WHITMORE stunned us all by finally doing something to merit her celeb status when she spent the night partying with LEONARDO DiCAPRIOback in February.
And now she could become even more newsworthy as we understand Strictly bosses have their eye on signing her up for this year’s series.
This week it was announced Laura will no longer front ITV2’s I’m A Celeb spin-off show – so her diary is free for the end of the year.
Our Strictly source revealed: “Laura is gorgeous and has cool celeb friends that could support her in the audience such as NIALL HORAN and former champCAROLINE FLACK.
“The BBC would love to get her signed up.”
Wonder if Leo will tune in if she does take to the dance floor? We reckon he’s a huge BRUNO TONIOLI fan.
